Aurelian's Wall

Built by order of the emperor Aurelian in 272 A.D. it is one of the great monuments of ancient Rome. Along the walls which surrounded the town for about 19km opened impressive gates such as Ostiense, Latina , Maggiore and St. Sebastian’s gate
